We decided to run a contest to help promote the recent launch of Timu. The prizes for this contest being gift cards to Sports Authority or another sporting goods provider of your choice. The Timu member who accrues the most points before the end of the day on Aug 31st, 2009, wins the following amounts in gift cards.
1st Place - $200
2nd Place - $100
3rd Place - $50
4th - 10th - $25 each
Timu members receive points in over 20 ways including, inviting new members, promoting the site, uploading photos/videos, entering game results and interacting in discussions. As an incentive to even the playing field for new members we’re increasing the number of points awarded for inviting people to 500 from 250 making it the most lucrative way to earn points. To be credited with a new member sign up you need to invite the person using either the invitation form, or your personalized invitation link displayed on the invitation form.

Some Additional Rules:
1. People directly associated with Timu (such as myself) are not eligible for prizes.
2. We reserve the right to disqualify members at our discretion, whom we deem to be cheating. For example by creating fake user accounts, or uploading photo’s videos they do not have rights to.

$200 bucks, wahoo. That would buy some nice gear and what a great way to spread the word of Timu.
